Laparoscopic Hernia Repair

A hernia happens when body cavity contents push through their usual area, sometimes causing pain. Blood supply may get cut off, needing immediate surgery to restore it for tissue oxygenation. Laparoscopic hernia repair is performed with general anesthesia and requires use of a breathing tube. Three half-inch or smaller incisions are made in the lower part of the abdomen. In laparoscopic hernia repair, a camera called a laparoscope is inserted into the abdomen to visualize the hernia defect on a monitor.

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that typically appear in your legs. They happen when valves inside your veins weaken and blood pools instead of flowing back to your heart. This pooling makes the veins bulge and can cause achiness, fatigue, or swelling. While not usually dangerous, varicose veins can be uncomfortable and unsightly. Treatment options include compression stockings, injections, laser treatment, and even surgery.
